UPCOMING EVENTS...
Our next event will be the Jazz Appreciation Month Concert on April 19th. This year, we are moving this event from Daytona (MOAS) to the United Methodist Church, right here in Palm Coast. See flyer below for details here.
The North East Florida Jazz Association (NEFJA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, established in January 1987 by President Emeritus, Eugene “Jeep” McCoy. Keeping the legacy of jazz alive has been NEFJA’s goal since it was established. NEFJA has been presenting live concerts at various venues throughout Northeast Florida, and presenting scholarships to talented Jazz studies students at Florida colleges, universities, and high schools. “Supporting young people who are studying Jazz is the best way to ensure that Jazz lives on”, states NEFJA President Muriel McCoy. To date, NEFJA has hosted over 100 concerts, and awarded 58 scholarships to recipients who have gone on to become professional musicians or music educators.
Keeping the Legacy of Jazz Alive through Scholarships and Concerts.
NEFJA hosts 4-5 concerts annually, in one of several venues in and around the Palm Coast area. Events are open to members and non-members. Funds raised are used to create scholarships for deserving college students pursuing degrees with a Major in Jazz Studies.
